Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is committed to provide equitable and inclusive education as envisaged by the NEP-2020 by ensuring that all students, including Children with Special Needs (CWSN), have equal access to quality education. To facilitate this, KVS has implemented a variety of support systems designed to cater to the diverse needs and requirements of differently-abled students.
One key aspect of inclusiveness is the provision of physical infrastructure that accommodates CWSN. Ramps have been installed by almost all KVs in the Mumbai Region to ensure that school premises are accessible.
In addition, special toilets are made available to cater to the specific needs of differently-abled students, promoting a barrier-free environment.
Moreover, most KVs have appointed Special Educators to provide individualized assistance, support and guidance to students with diverse learning needs.
Furthermore, under the Project Inclusion Programme by Sri Aurobindo Society, our teachers have completed online training programme (Total 17 Modules), a step towards creating an Inclusive Learning Environment.
